"What a FANTASTIC conference! Many thanks to all the speakers and the Synergy staff. I learned so much that my head was spinning by the time I got on the plane back to South Dakota. The ideas and networking opportunities were outstanding. I plan to implement many of these ideas when I get back."
As you can see, this year's Annual Medical Billing Conference was a totol success! Our 2004 Annual Medical Billing Conference was held in beautiful New Orleans at Hotel Monaco during April 25-28. We had a very good mix of brand new and existing medical billing centers in attendance this year, which resulted in a great information and networking session for everyone present! Our conference started on Sunday evening during a upscale reception filled with food, fun, and tons of introductions. "The opening reception on Sunday was a great "ice breaker" in that it gave me an opportunity to introduce myself to everyone. It gave me much more confidence to ask questions and participate more on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday because I didn't feel as nervous."
Conference sessions actually began on Monday morning and continued on till Wednesday. Lisa Ware opened up conference as our key note presenter speaking on "The Medical Billing Business: Everything you want to know!" Lisa is from Houston, Texas and started her medical billing business from her home in 1992. Today, she has 25 employees and bills for over 60 medical practices! Lisa is a walking success story of how the medical billing home business industry changed her life. Before medical billing, Lisa had a cake decorating business ... a complete change in occupation. We are so proud of you Lisa! The entire conference was packed with informative topics for new and existing billing centers. "ERISA & Successfully Appealing Denied Claims", "Tackling Those Specialists","Marketing 101", "Medical Billing 101", "Credentialing For Your Physician", and "Round Table Discussions with Billing Centers" are just to name a few. We want to thank all the attendees for their "thank you" letters that we have been receiving. Get ready for next year, our 10th Annual Medical Billing Center Conference will be HUGE! Information on next year's event will be released this fall. I leave you with some of the after throughts from this year's conference ...
"Thanks a million for a wonderful time in New Orleans. All the presentations at the conference were very educational and I learnt a lot. I enjoyed networking with all of you'll and look forward to e-mailing and talking to you'll about various medical billing issues. Attending seminars like this one makes one realize the amount of work that needs to be done to build a business...thanks to all for the various insights," Ken Lobo.
"Thanks to all of you! I wanted to thank everyone for such great information! I am amazed at what I don't know and it is so good to talk to everyone to get that extra insight on how you run your businesses and do your billing! I wanted you all to know you can reach me for any information (may or may not have an answer, but I sure am good at finding out too!) Thanks for a great time Duane and Santiago for allowing us to meet and get together! Thanks, too for Brian B. and Scott K. for all of your help in the past and in the future," Collette Shelley.
"I wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciated the support and camaraderie of the established centers towards us new folks. All the information and shortcuts to get started was great stuff. I look forward to next year when I can also provide assistance to new centers," Howard Lerner.
"What fun! I hoping everyone had a safe and happy trip home. Unfortunately, there was LOTS of work awaiting my arrival. I have considered leaving for a little longer in hopes that the work will be completed by someone else!! The Conference was well done. Thank you Duane and the Synergy staff. We had a wonderful time. The facilities were very nice, and the local food was fabulous! Scott and Bryan thank you for the software insights and the music introductions. I'm feeling smarter already! The speakers were very helpful. I learned from each of them. I wish I could borrow each of them for a day for my office! I can offer a good cup of Starbuck's coffee!?!?! I enjoyed the fellowship with the other business owners. Everyone's business is so unique yet so much a like. Y'all are just fun people to be around!! There is so much to learn from each other," Lisa Ware.
